About

Morgan Hartley

Howdy I’m Morgan. I am a problem solving graphic designer and adrenaline junkie!

I am currently in my second year studying Graphic Design at Arts University Bournemouth, where I am developing conceptual thinking and digital skills in Adobe software. I am passionate about solving problems in design and creating for purpose. I strongly believe in the power of design to solve pressing social or environmental challenges.

Recently, I collaborated on a motion graphics project that addressed loneliness in the elderly and developed a simple call to action that just asked people to say ‘hello’. Within design, I also enjoy experimenting with mixed media to bring texture into my work. I often create textures by hand and then subsequently manipulate digitally. I would say I am competent in Adobe InDesign, After Effects and Photoshop. I have also made this website using CSS HTML.

Outside of uni I enjoy indoor skydiving and I work part-time at the wind tunnel, iFLY. I enjoy the customer facing experience and like to provide a fun-filled yet informative service for those coming to try the sport. In my free time, I love painting on canvas and integrating textile materials, collage, and spray paint. I enjoy the materiality and experimentation which can inform my design work.

I am currently looking for work experience or an internship over the summer. I would like to work in a fast-paced and dynamic studio. Overall, I would say I am a creative individual who is always looking to expand my knowledge and strives to make relevant and meaningful work. If work experience might be a possibility, please do not hesitate to get in touch!
